Ultimate Disney World Packing List
Essentials
- Printed Park Tickets and Reservations: Keep these handy for easy access to the parks and attractions.
- Identification and Travel Documents: Necessary for park entry and hotel check-ins. Ensure you have your IDs, passports (if traveling internationally), and any other essential documents.
- MagicBands: These can make park entry, purchases, and room access more convenient. Make sure they are linked to your tickets and reservations.
- Credit Cards and Cash: For purchases, dining, and emergencies. Having both options ensures you’re prepared for any situation.
- Downloaded Disney App: The My Disney Experience app is crucial for checking wait times, making reservations, and navigating the parks.
Magic Band Pro Tips! If you are staying on Disney property, you will receive your Magic Bands before arriving at Disney World. Pack the Magic Bands in your carry-on bag to ensure easy access! I also highly recommend purchasing Bit Belts to prevent your Magic Band from falling off. They are inexpensive and can save you a lot of frustration.
Clothing
- Comfortable Clothing: Plan for one park outfit per day and a couple of dinner outfits. Light, breathable fabrics are ideal for warm weather.
- Lightweight Jacket/Sweater: Evenings can be cool, so packing a lightweight layer is a good idea.
- Sneakers: Essential for long days of walking around the parks. Make sure they are well-broken in to avoid blisters.
- Sandals: Comfortable for warm weather and give your feet a break from sneakers.
- Ponchos or Rain Jackets: Florida weather can be unpredictable, and a sudden rain shower can happen. Be prepared to stay dry.
- Swimwear and Swim Cover-up: For hotel pools or water parks. Don’t forget a cover-up for convenience.
- Hats and Sunglasses: Protect yourself from the sun and stay cool.

Personal Care
- Toiletries and Makeup: Bring your daily essentials to keep up with your routine while on vacation.
- Sunscreen: High SPF to protect against sunburns. Reapply throughout the day, especially after water rides or swimming.
- Lip Balm with SPF: Keep your lips protected and hydrated in the sun.
- Hand Sanitizer: Essential for maintaining cleanliness, especially before meals and after rides.
- Wet Wipes: Handy for quick clean-ups on-the-go.
- First Aid Kit: Include band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and any necessary medications.
- Medicine and Vitamins: Pack any essential medications and vitamins to keep your health routine on track.
- Motion Sickness Bands or Medication: For those prone to motion sickness, especially on rides and during travel.
- Bug Repellent: Avoid pesky bites while enjoying outdoor attractions.
- Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the day by refilling at water fountains.
Anti-Humidity Tips! Florida is sticky most months of the year, which can be tough on your hair and makeup. To maintain a loose beach wave, I prep my wet hair with Living Proof 5-in-1 Perfect Hair Day and Root Lift, then blow-dry for volume. I mist with Living Proof No Frizz Instant De-Frizzer Spray before curling, and finish with Sexy Hair Texture Mist and more De-Frizzer if needed. For makeup, I use NYX Matte Primer paired with a matte finish foundation, set with loose powder, and carry blotting papers for touch-ups on the go.
Technology
- Camera: Capture all the magical moments during your trip.
- Extra Batteries and Memory Cards: Ensure you have enough storage and power for your camera.
- Earbuds or Headphones: For travel or downtime.
- Portable Phone Charger: Keep your phone charged for photos, reservations, and emergencies.
- Power Bank with multiple USB ports: Charge multiple devices at once, convenient for families. This is the one we use.
- iPads/Tablets/Kindle: For entertainment during travel or downtime.
For the Kids
- Autograph Book and Pen: Perfect for collecting signatures from their favorite Disney characters.
- Baby Carrier: You will want one of these to make being on-the-go easier.
- Sleepsack: Helps maintain familiar sleep routines.
- Dress-Up Costumes: For extra fun and magic during the trip.
- Travel Stroller: You will definitely want a stroller! I recommend bringing one along or renting from Kingdom Strollers. More on that below 😉
- Stroller Fan: Keep your child cool in the stroller.
Rent your stroller from Kingdom Strollers! My personal preference is renting a stroller from Kingdom Strollers. It’s much cheaper than renting at Disney World, and they deliver and pick up right from your hotel. This convenience allows you to have the stroller immediately upon arrival and save up to 50% compared to in-park rentals. Plus, having the stroller after exiting the park means you don’t have to carry your kids to the hotel. Check current prices here!
- Cooling Towels: Beat the heat with a refreshing cooling towel.
- Favorite Toys or Comfort Items: Helps to keep children entertained and comforted.
- Sippy Cups/Bottles: Bring extras to avoid losing them.
- Bottle Soap & Brush: For cleaning feeding items.
- Pacifiers & Clips: Pack additional to ensure you’re never without.
- Bibs: Essential to keep those cute vacation outfits clean when eating!
- Diaper Wipes & Cream: Though you can find them pretty much anywhere, it’s always a good idea to have your own.
- Portable Changing Mat: For clean diaper changes anywhere.
Bonus
- Mickey and Minnie Ears: Embrace the Disney spirit with these iconic accessories.
- Small Backpack or Fanny Pack: For carrying essentials throughout the day.
- Ziploc Bags: Useful for wet clothes, snacks, and organizing small items.
- Laundry Bags: Separate dirty clothes from clean ones.
- Tide To Go Pen: For quick stain removal on-the-go.
- Misting Fans: Stay cool in the heat with these portable fans.
- Lightweight Blanket: Great for parades, resting, or picnics. I love this one!
- Spray Fan: An extra cooling comfort for hot days.
These are our favorite snacks to bring along! We still indulge in Disney Favorites (who can resist a Mickey Pretzel?), but I highly recommend bringing additional snacks to minimize spending.
– Granola Bars for Energy
– Dried Fruit
– Trail Mix
– Uncrustables
– Pretzels

Please don’t recommend a bubble gun. I bought the ones recommended. DIsney just took mine away because it has a trigger. My kids are in tears now. Please take that off of your post.
Hi Rosalie,
I am so sorry. I reached out to Disney after I received your comment. They let me know thety recently changed their bubble gun policy and now only allow bubble wands. I was unaware of the recent change as the bubble guns we posted were very similar to the ones they used to sell. I have updated the site now to have bubble wands. Thank you for letting me know and sorry about the little one’s tears.
This was a great help. This is our first time going. The bit about the stroller will really come in handy!! We have 7yr old, 4 and 2. Also the part about water bottles and snacks!! Thanks!!
I’m glad I could help. Have a great time on your trip.
I thought that the wagon in your recommendation would be perfect for my families upcoming trip, but then I read on the Disney Website that wagons are not permitted in the parks. 🙁
Hi Megan,
We just used the wagon on our last trip in November. You can not bring a pull wagon, but one like the one we are recommending where you push the wagon you can bring.
Yyou can not bring any type of wagon in the park.. pull or push
Hi Sarah,
Ah Yes, Disney just changed that on May 1st. Wagons are no longer allowed at all.
Spray fans are a must when visiting the parks.
OMG spray fans yes I would not survive Disney with out one? thanks
I’m going to Disney next month and I am crazy busy planning so if there are any other tips that would be great if you could let me know
Hi thank you for this Blog❣ I k ow ig will be a total lifesaver! One question where can I find stroller guidelines because I plan to use my own stroller. It’s pretty sturdy, but I would hate to get there and they say sorry, but you can’t bring that in.?
Hi Nadia strollers can be no wider than 31″ and no longer than 52″
Super helpful!
This is the kind of content I love! Thank you so much!
I leave in one week for vacation and always feel asthough I am forgetting something! Thanks so much and I am already remembering a million things I need to pack
If you and your kids are Star Wars fans, bring Star Wars T- shirts and, on the day you go to Hollywood Studios, have them have “bobbles” in their pockets. The storm trooper cast members walking around will single out your kids and comment on their shirts! Jawa cast members will ty to barter with your kids and they’re looking for silly items. Small dollar store items like marbles or nuts and bolts work.
Thats a great tip. Thank you.
Sooo many people under-estimate the intensity of the sun when visiting Florida
