*This post is in partnership with Sara Lee Desserts, however, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I love entertaining guests, especially during the holidays. It’s seriously one of my favorite things to do. It could be because my husband transforms our home into a Winter Wonderland complete with a snow machine on the roof every year or maybe it’s because I share my love through food- it’s true! All that said over the years as the number of kids and dogs to take care of has multiplied I have shifted from baking everything personally to relying on my grandmother’s favorite dessert brand Sara Lee Desserts to make the holidays extra special.
Read on to learn how to create a GORGEOUS Holiday Dessert Bar without all of the hassles.
Super Simple Holiday Dessert Bar That Will WOW Your Guests This Holiday
Did you know that Sara Lee Desserts has been around for more than 75 years? My grandma was a huge fan and our holidays always included their pies and pound cakes. This year I thought I would elevate these delicious desserts with a DIY toppings bar so my guests could make their dessert to their own liking and I LOVED how it came out.
The best part is it is ridiculously simple to create. All I did was head to my local grocer to pick up several Sara Lee Desserts pound cakes, cheesecakes, and a pie. Then I grabbed some fresh fruit, ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and several dessert sauces and voila! A super simple Dessert Bar that only required some defrosting and a tiny bit of heating in the oven (just the pie!). Talk about easy.
The other great thing is you can totally make this dessert your own by customizing and swapping in other toppings of your choice, making this Dessert Bar something super special. I think that crushed peppermint, some freshly roasted pecans, or some crumbled candy bars would all be super fun additions.
For my own slice, I topped the Sara Lee Desserts New York Style Cheesecake with a salted caramel drizzle and fresh berries- it was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it.
Create your own Holiday Dessert Bar this season by heading to your local grocer, you can make sure they carry Sara Lee Desserts by clicking here for their store locator. It even allows you to search by product- which is super handy.
