Lonely Planet Kids has quickly become my munchkins go to resource for awesome, entertaining and unique books. During the summer months I require the entire family to have one hour of quiet reading time. With 4 kids those hours add up and = lots of books needed. Thankfully, Lonely Planet books are entertaining enough that all of the munchkins love reading them. So, they get passed from kid to kid making me one happy mama!

Lonely Planet Book Review + GIVEAWAY!!!
Back in the spring Lonely Planet kids introduced several new lines of books including their first ever pop-up books, travel companion books and the Let’s Explore sticker activity books. What I love about all of Lonely Planet Kids books are that they teach kids valuable lessons in appreciating the beautiful and diverse people, places and cultures that encompass our amazing world. This type of knowledge helps kids gain greater compassion, a sense of responsibility for nature and an eagerness to travel near & far.
The pop up book collection offers kids a glimpse into some of the biggest cities. They flip the pages to discover major landmarks and more modern must see places as the cities pop- up and come to life right before their eyes. Choose between Pop-Up Paris, Pop-Up London and Pop-Up New York. Watch below to see the books in action!
Traveling requires a lot of down time in between flights, road trips, delays etc… That is why I LOVE Lonely Planet Kids new travel companions series. These fun filled activity books are jam packed with creative activities and games to help keep your kids occupied for hours. Choose from Boredom Buster: Games for the Road , My Family Travel Map: A Fold-Out, Fact-Filled Poster to Complete or My Travel Journal: Never Forget an Adventure.

Ella received the My Travel Journal: Never Forget an Adventure at the beginning of summer and she has been glued to it all summer long. She documented our travels through Belize, Honduras, Mexico and Puerto Rico this summer. Not only was this book a saving grace in between layovers in airports but it is also an amazing collection of memories and keepsakes from our amazing summer. You see inside this specific book it gave prompts to help her record and document her travels along with games and activities to keep her busy. She charted the weather while we were away. She made fingerprint characters out of sauces and dips from the various restaurants we ate at, had a place to glue her room key cards in as well as a place to document details about our trips. It has now become not only a treasure for her but a family keepsake as well. I love this book SO MUCH I plan on purchasing one for each of our munchkins before our next big trip to Florida and the Caribbean this fall!
The last collection I will share with you is Lonely Planet’s new Let’s Explore books. Kids will follow characters Marco & Amelia through some of the world’s most amazing environments with the Let’s Explore Safari, Let’s Explore Ocean and Let’s Explore Jungle books. Each of these colorful books includes over 250 stickers, fun facts, puzzles & more.
