*This post is in partnership with Chico’s however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I love nothing more than a quick escape to one of my favorite cities be it Rome, NYC, Prague, Paris or more recently Savannah. For me, these trips are usually spur of the moment things like when I receive a last-minute invite to an event or find an amazing flight deal that is too good to pass up. Luckily for me, I have learned a few hacks over the years to make packing up for these last-minute escapes a breeze and I am sharing them all with you today.
Packing Tips For Your Next City Escape
-
Always Think In Layers
It never fails you check the weather days and sometimes weeks before you travel and then you arrive and the weather is totally different than you planned. In order to avoid having to purchase any expensive souvenir sweatshirts or t-shirts, I suggest packing in layers. This way you can add or subtract pieces to create the perfect look no matter what the weather is.
Chico’s is my go-to for stylish layers. They have excellent staples like t’s and camis and they also have the best jackets and ruana wraps- I have so many!!
JACKET | JEANS | TOP | GLASSES
My newest addition is the MILANO-STITCH MOTO CARDIGAN. Don’t let the name fool you although it is technically a cardigan I would classify it more as a jacket because it provides incredible warmth while still being airy enough to allow your body to breathe a bit.

Pack Complimentary Colors
Who has time to run back to the room for a complete new look? Not me, that’s for sure. I would much rather run up freshen up my make-up and hair, add heels and some jewels and be off. Which is why it is so important to pack pieces that can easily transition from day or night.
Pieces that work well for me are Chico’s cute skinny jeans- they look great with flats or heels, and their micro-fiber tanks- the material is super comfy but can be dressed up easily by adding some statement jewelry, a ruana, cardigan, or jacket.

Don’t Forget About Comfort
Of course, none of this matters if you are in your favorite city but you are miserable because everything you packed is uncomfortable. You have to remember that travel = long days, lots of walking, sitting on subways, etc… So, pack accordingly.
HAT | CARDIGAN | PURSE | JEGGINGS | FLATS
You definitely can’t go wrong with Chico’s elastic waist stretch jeggings. They are so comfortable you could sleep in them.

Accessories Are A Girl’s Best Friend
I have clued you in on this hack several times but it really is a good one. Pack accessories!
JACKET | PURSE | EARRINGS | NECKLACE | TOP | GLASSES
You would be surprised how a few pieces of jewelry, sunglasses, a scarf, or a purse can elevate an outfit. Chico’s has tons to offer when it comes to accessories. Their pieces are typically more statement pieces so you don’t need much to make a splash.
