Penguino Travel Box Review
What is Penguino Travel?
Penguino Travel is a curated travel box created just for your family to help excite your kids about their trip and more importantly entertain them along the journey. How do they do this? Penguino delivers a box of activities, snacks and travel essentials to your home before you leave on your trip.
What’s Inside?
Well, that depends on each family and their kid’s likes and dislikes + information you give Penguino about your travel plans. We received our box right before our recent ski trip to Lake Tahoe (Read more about our FAVORITE Family-Friendly Ski Resort here). We were going to be on a short flight + we knew we would have down time in our vacation rental. Check out all the fun stuff that came in the mail to help keep hunger at bay + entertain the munchkins on the flight and in our room.
Our box included snacks and treats for the munchkins. Inside their snack bag they found a lavender hand sanitizing wipe (they loved the smell), a larabar, organic lollipops, Annie’s fruit snacks, a dark chocolate square, and non GMO gum (perfect for preventing earaches on the plane ride). The kids loved the special snacks and treats, and I appreciated the fact that the products were from companies whose values align with our family’s like organic products, sustainable, and responsible business practices, and non-gmo snacks and treats.
The kids were also stoked to find all the awesome activities inside our box. Owen and Shea quickly claimed the two pocket doodles, while Ella grabbed the gorgeous coloring book (seriously I colored in it too, it has the most beautiful coloring pages inside). The three munchkins shared the ergonomic grip markers and the eco-colored pencils. There was also several super fun travel games, stickers, a cool snowflake craft, adorable plush penguin, and play putty.
My favorite product though was definitely the Penguino Travel journal that each child received. The journal had great quotes, illustrations, and prompts to help the kids create an amazing memento from our trip!
Take a peek inside:
I loved the quotes spread throughout the journal. I think I want one for myself. There were a handful of sections starting at the very beginning where the kids can record their travel plans and what they packed + their expectations. There were prompts to help them record exciting events on the trip, places to draw pictures and it ended with a prompt where the kids could share where they wanted to go next. Perfect way to inspire your own little traveler 😉
I love how travel expands our kid’s palettes and this journal is a great way to encourage your kids to try new foods!
Our Experience
The munchkins absolutely LOVED their Penguino Travel Box and I LOVED that all of the awesome activities kept the kids off of their iPads and instead engaging in art and playing games together. I think that Penguino Travel Boxes are a wonderful way to kick off your next family trip.

More Reasons to LOVE Penguino Travel

You know how much I LOVE products that support great causes and/ or are founded by awesome mamas. Penguino Travel hits both marks. The company was created by a fellow traveling mom who had a dream to make travel easier for families. Plus, she started the company with a purpose to do good too! Check out the following statement that I came across on their website:
“Penguino Travel is a purposeful business.
We have had the opportunity to travel and discover more than thirty countries around the world. These experiences inspire us to make it easier for families to travel – yes – but they also challenge us to do business in a purposeful way. From day one, Penguino Travel has been committed to social and environmental responsibility and to giving back.
We want to create opportunities for socially responsible factories, farmers and artisan producers to sell their products, enabling families to earn sustainable incomes while protecting the environment.
We are also partnering with World Relief Fort Worth to welcome refugee families. For every ten Travel Boxes we sell this holiday season, we will give one Welcome Box to a refugee child who is new to Texas. By shopping with Penguino, you help us make an impact!”
Pretty fantastic, right?
Those look like the types of things I would pack myself — nice quality and some good finds. Plus, how cute is that penguin?
Right, pretty cute! I loved that the products were high quality. They have still been playing the games at home 🙂
This is such a cute idea! My parents made my sister and I do journals when we used to go on our family trips, and I love reading them now–they are so funny! I’m definitely going to have to get one of these for my daughter on our next big trip. 🙂
That is so neat that you still have your journals. I didn’t even think of saving them. I will go find them and put them in a safe place. What a cool thing that would be to look back on. Thanks for the idea!
