The annual Choc Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland is one of my absolute favorite charity events. Truth is I love all charity events, I feel immensely blessed with the life I have been given and nothing fills me up more than by finding ways to pay it forward by helping others in need. If you are like me than you are going to love what this amazing event has in store this year. When a day out with the family having fun can help open a neonatal intensive care unit, assist over 90,000 visitors in Orange County’s only pediatric-dedicated emergency department, and help to organize over 150 special events for patients including the oncology prom you can’t help but feel good!
CHOC Walk 2018 Registration Info + the AMAZING Rock’N Luau
The CHOC Walk began back in 1990 as workers began moving into their new six-story building. About 1,000 men, women, and children participated in the inaugural CHOC/Disneyland® Community Walk. The initial years of the CHOC walk were hosted at nearby Orange County malls until 2002 when the walk transformed into the Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland Resort. This new venue has helped spark even more interest and proven to be very successful for CHOC Children’s.
Over its 28-year history, the annual event has raised over $32 Million for CHOC Children’s and CHOC at Mission Hospital. The 5K walk is also known as the largest and most unique pediatric fundraiser in the nation!
Mike and I participated in last year’s walk for the first time and I cannot even begin to describe all the amazing feels I felt that morning. What an honor it is to walk amongst parents and loved ones who’ve lost children much too early but who are also determined to ensure they find a cure so no one else has to go through the type of pain they had to endure. To walk alongside sick children who are fighting for their lives and see their eyes light up when they pass by a Disney character. It’s absolutely incredible and I encourage everyone to register or donate to this super worthy cause- they were named one of the BEST Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report (2017-2018).

What is the Rock’N Luau?
The CHOC Walk in the Park is an amazing event but there is also another incredible event that happens the night before the walk and that is the Rock’N Luau. This “1950’s Polynesian” themed event will feature activities for kids (and kids at heart), a Rock’N raffle, bowlin’ buffet, mini-bowling tournament and authentic Polynesian entertainment – all to help raise awareness and funds to support CHOC Children’s Hospital and trust me YOU will want to be there! Learn more about it and purchase tickets here.
The Rock’N Luau happens to be one of CHOC Walk’s biggest FUNdraisers and this year it’s going to be EPIC because the event is being held at the ALL-NEW Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Downtown Disney. How do we know it’s going to be EPIC? We were invited to a sneak peek for influencers and media- see below.
We hope to see you at this year’s walk!
