Hop on the Monorail from Inside the New Disneyland Hotel

That’s right, Disneyland will be either expanding or embedding the current monorail to go right through the resort. The best part is this will be the first Disneyland resort where you can board directly from inside the resort. We are guessing this will be an exclusive resort access entrance, so think about the joy of skipping that dreaded security line and just pop out of your hotel room and ride directly into the Disneyland Park. Now, that’s dreamy!

All 4 Hotels will now be Connected!

The new resort will add a lush garden walk that will connect all 4 hotels, Paradise Pier, Grand Californian and the iconic Disneyland Hotel. So, if you want to head on over to Goofy’s Kitchen to visit Mickey, Pluto and friends it will just be a nice little stroll through some beautifully manicured gardens, and we know how meticulous Disney is with their gardens. Plus for the kiddos, there will be playful water features to keep them entertained along the walk

New Shops & Restaurants!

If you have been to Downtown Disney, the one painful thing is trying to eat somewhere at night if you have no reservations. You are talking about hour-long waits for a restaurant, even 30 minutes just to get a beignet from Jazz Kitchen Express (although the beignets might be worth it). The whole first floor of the new Disneyland hotel will be dedicated to shops and more importantly restaurants! Woo Hoo!

Dinner with a View

The new Disneyland Hotel will also have a top-level restaurant with views of Disneyland’s FIrework show. Imagine sitting back and enjoying a nice meal while Disney puts on one of its fabulous firework shows. If you are saying to yourself, oh but I like the music that goes with the fireworks, I wouldn’t worry at most Disney World Restaurants with views of the Fireworks, music gets piped right in for the fireworks show. 700 Rooms & 4 Diamond Service

Disney announced that the new hotel will have 700 rooms which will make it the 2nd largest hotel at the Disneyland Resort just behind the 948 rooms of the Grand Californian. Of course, the new resort will also be rated 4 Diamonds, plus you can count on that magical Disney service too.

BONUS TIP – Possible DVC Rooms

If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member you know that booking a DVC room at the Disneyland Resort is nearly impossible with so few rooms dedicated to vacation club at the Grand Californian. All signs point to this resort having quite a few rooms to accommodate those needs. Phew!
