Research was a HUGE part of my “becoming more plant-based journey,” and part of that research was finding the best vegan cookbooks and vegan recipe bloggers to help me! I found hearing and learning about other people’s vegan journey and seeing the benefits they gained from being more plant-based gave me the confidence to incorporate it into my meal plan.

Tieghan Gerard from Half-Baked Harvest has quickly become one of my favorite food bloggers out there. All of the recipes I have tried from her, have been amazing! What I also love about Half-Baked Harvest is the ability to organize the recipe based on your dietary needs.
Tieghan’s recipe index allows you to search gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and more! Every mouth-watering recipe looks so delicious and makes Half-Baked Harvest one of our favorite vegan recipe bloggers out there! Check out her recipes here.
If you have already checked out my article about my favorite vegan cookbooks, then you already know that I am a big fan of Dana Shultz and her blog The Minimalist Baker.
Not only are all her recipes I have tried super delicious, but like her name, all her recipes have minimal ingredients. If you check out her vegan section, you can see all her yummy vegan recipes, including the cashew jalapeño sauce we have pictured above.

A Vegan Lifestyle
In 2020, I went vegan for a month, with the intention to overall improve my health. As you might know, I suffer from genetic high cholesterol and my medical doctor would prefer I took statin medications. However, I am someone who does like to take my health into my own hands and find alternative ways to gain maximum health.
I decided to commit to the vegan diet for one month, and you can read all about it here. Within that month I learned a lot about the vegan lifestyle!
A vegan lifestyle involves choosing not to consume or use any animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey, as well as avoiding products made from animals, such as leather, wool, and silk. This choice is typically motivated by ethical, environmental, or health concerns.
Overall, in my personal experience, I have loved incorporating more plant-based and vegan dishes into my meal plan and look forward to finding and creating more recipes!
